Your guide to a day of boating starting from Kelowna:
9 AM: Start at Kelowna’s Downtown Marina

An ideal adventure companion, our Chaparral H2O 21 Sport guarantees a thrilling ride!
You’ll begin your day by renting one of our boats, though you can even book your boat well before your trip. We suggest our bowriders or pontoon boat rentals; however, if you’d like to indulge in some water sports while on your adventure, our Mastercraft Towboats offer unparalleled athletic performance! Once your boat is fueled and ready, we provide a quick orientation, and you can get sailing! Before hitting the waters, you can also stop at our retail shop to stock up on some snacks or sunblock.
9:30 AM: Breakfast at Hotel Eldorado’s Lakeside Dining Room
Take a short cruise from Kelowna’s Marina to Hotel Eldorado and dock your boat at one of the hotel’s slips for free! Head towards the award-winning lakeside patio at Lakeside Dining Room and fuel up with a locally and seasonally crafted hearty breakfast that’ll have you craving more the moment you leave.
11:00 AM: Explore Bear Creek Provincial Park
Now it’s time to glide across the lake towards Bear Creek Provincial Park, where you can dock your boat and make a move toward any of the park’s hiking trails. However, if you’re feeling like lazing beneath some sunshine, the park’s got a gorgeous beach, too! It is also home to a stunning waterfall and plenty of picturesque, shaded areas for a midday picnic if you’re feeling snacky after all the hiking.
12:30 PM: Wine Tasting at Quails’ Gate Winery

The serene lake + a great glass of red + this zen view of Quails’ Gate Winery = summer bliss
The next stop on the list is West Kelowna’s Quails’ Gate Winery. You can dock your boat at the Shelter Bay Marina, after which getting to the winery is just a 10-minute ride via cab. Indulge in some of BC’s most exquisite wines with panoramic views of the lake and flourishing vineyards. If you ask us, it sounds like a scene taken straight from a movie! Kiddos are welcome too; they can be offered a juice tasting. One person in the group needs to be the boat’s designated driver for safety purposes, so they’ll have to skip the vino this time.
2:00 PM: Lunch at Mission Hill Family Estate
By this time, you may have worked up an appetite, and just a short boat ride away, you’ll find Mission Hill Family Estate. Dock at the Gellatly Bay area and head up to the winery for lunch. The Restaurant at Mission Hill offers delectable cuisine rooted in the valley, paired with views of the Okanagan’s magnificent mountain ranges and lush orchards.
4:00 PM: Ice Cream at Peachland’s Waterfront
What better way to end your day than finishing off strong, with a treat? Bliss Bakery & Bistro in Peachland is just the spot for you. Dock your boat at the Peachland Yacht Club and take a leisurely stroll along the peaceful waterfront. Bliss Bakery is known for its delicious ice creams and pastries; we promise the calories are worth it; there’s nothing better than wrapping up your adventure on a sweet note!
5:00 PM: Return to Kelowna’s Downtown Marina
With your bellies full and souls content, return to Kelowna’s Downtown Marina, enjoying the warmth, wind and refreshing water of the Okanagan Lake for the last time until your next adventure. Return your boat and reminisce about the fun-filled day as you plan your next sunny day on the lake.
When it comes to activities to do and places to explore, the ones we’ve mentioned above are just the tip of the iceberg!
